  • Jenna is based from Aura Aesthetics in Rochester, Kent, where she offers semi-permanent brow and eyeliner treatments, as well as brow lamination, tinting, shaping and lash treatments to her clients.

Aura Aesthetics is conveniently located for clients in Rochester and surrounding areas in Kent, including Gillingham, Chatham, Maidstone, Gravesend.

Address: Aura Aesthetics Clinic, 40a High St, Rochester ME1 1LD.

  • There are several car parks nearby within a few minutes walk of Aura Aesthetics Clinic. You can find these here. Please allow time to find parking to arrive on time for your appointment.

  • A deposit is required to secure your booking. This amount will be deducted from the cost of your treatment and the remaining balance will be due at your appointment. All deposits are non-refundable.

However, we are happy to reschedule your appointment if you provide more than 48 hours’ notice.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 48 hours before your appointment.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of the treatment price and a new deposit will be required to make another booking. As a small business, each appointment blocks out a significant portion of our working day and we may also incur premises costs, even if the treatment does not go ahead.

  • Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are running late, kindly inform us as soon as possible. We recommend allowing extra time for traffic, parking and locating the premises.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to cancel your appointment to ensure there is sufficient time to carry out your treatment safely and to the required standard. In this situation, the full treatment fee will still apply and a new deposit will be required to make another booking.

PERMANENT MAKEUP

  • Providing that there are no medical contra-indications, anyone over the age of 18 can have permanent make up. Before your treatment date you will receive medical forms to complete. A patch test is also required to ensure there are no adverse reactions to the pigment and anaesthetic used during the treatment. I ensure a full consultation is always carried out before the treatments begins.

  • The pigment used is designed to break down in the skin over time. Permanent Cosmetic treatments can last several years, but this is dependent on skin tone, skin type, sun exposure, lifestyle and medication. With this in mind, a colour boost appointment is recommended around 12-18 months after your initial treatment.

  • Please allow at least 2 hours for your permanent cosmetic treatment. Although this can often be much less, I don't like my clients or myself to feel rushed or under pressure to finish for a certain time.

  • Yes, a patch test is required at least 48 hours before any treatments can be carried out. You will not be able to go ahead with your treatment if you do not complete a patch test.

  • Yes, a £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your initial PMU appointment. This is taken at the time of online booking and will be deducted from the total cost of your treatment. The remaining balance is payable on the day of your appointment and can be settled by cash, contactless payment or bank transfer.

  • The cost of your PMU treatment is already spread across your initial appointment and your 6–8 week touch-up appointment, as these are priced separately.

A £50 deposit is required when booking your initial appointment, with the remaining balance payable on the day of treatment. For the 6–8 week touch-up appointment, a £20 deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance again payable on the day of your appointment.

  • Appointments can be easily booked online at a time that suits you. If you’re unsure which treatment would be best for you, or if you’d like to ask any questions before booking, please get in touch with Jenna via the contact page, who will be happy to help and guide you.

PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE:

  • Avoid alcohol, blood thinning medications (like aspirin/ibuprofen) and caffeine for 24 hours prior to your treatment. This will minimise sensitivity and swelling.

  • Avoid sunbathing, sun-beds and fake tan for 2 weeks prior to your treatment. This will allow for the correct pigment colour to be chosen for your natural skin tone.

  • Avoid exercising and heavy sweating on the day of your procedure, as increased body heat will cause your pores to expand and the pigment will not settle/heal as efficiently.

  • Wash your hair either the night before or on the day of your appointment, as you will need to keep your brows relatively dry for 2 weeks after your treatment.

  • Botox/anti-wrinkle injections should be performed 4 weeks prior to your treatment.

  • Do not tint your eyebrows within 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

AFTERCARE ADVICE:

Aftercare is key to the healing of your permanent makeup and must be strictly followed.

Immediately after the treatment, you may notice whiteness or blanching around the area. This is normal and should subside within a few hours. You may get some swelling, this is also normal and should subside within a couple of days. In some cases, there may be slight bruising which should last no more than a week. Remember, your colour will be darker and more prominent for the first 7 days.

As soon as your procedure is finished, your body will start to heal. The skin will close and you may see a thin crust which will protect the area whilst the skin heals. Once the crust comes off, the pigment will be revealed in a lighter form than the initially implanted colour. The colour will continue to change and develop until 4-6 weeks. Please be aware that you may notice areas of lighter colour or no colour at all. This is a very normal part of the healing process and why a touch-up appointment is recommended around 6-8 weeks after your initial treatment.

  • It is important that you keep your brows dry for 14 days after the procedure. Please avoid washing your hair for the first 3 days.

  • You will be given aftercare balm to take home with you. After 48 hours, you can apply a small amount (rice grain sized) of the balm to your eyebrows, using a clean, dry cotton bud. This can be done once or twice a day for 10 days.

  • Avoid any saunas/swimming/heavy exercise until the area has completely healed.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and sun-beds for 14 days. After this time, you must apply a high SPF to your brows, as this will protect them and prevent fading from UV rays. It is recommended that you wear SPF on your face every day.

  • Do not apply makeup on or around the eyebrow area for 14 days.

  • Avoid anti-ageing products which contain Retin-A, retinols, glycolic acid etc. Never put them directly on your eyebrows and DO NOT use them for at least 30 days after the treatment.

  • Do not pick or scratch your treatment area. As your brows heal, they may become dry, itchy and flaky. Never attempt to remove any flaking skin from your eyebrows, as this will result in uneven healing.
